Building a Haven
Middlehaven

Tees Valley Regeneration have announced radical plans for the development of the Middlehaven site with a team of award winning architects designing the futuristic buildings.

Alsop are an international architectural and urban planning practice who are helping to transform the Middlehaven site from a barren wasteland into a waterfront wonder. The team have recently completed there first project in Canada, the 'Flying Tabletop' which is part of the expansion of Ontario's university of art and design.
Work has already started on the first office block at Middlehaven and the site is hoping to house leisure facilities, offices, bars, apartments and even a wetlands area. The designs by Alsop for some of the buildings at Middleshaven include a 'Kerplunk' hotel, a 'toaster theatre' and 'the cliff' apartments. Work on the site will take place in 3 stages with firther ammonucements about developments on the site expected later in the year.
