The School of Acoustics, Audio and Video

Fingernails scraping on a blackboard? Car alarms? Cutlery scraping on plates? A screaming baby?

The Acoustics, Audio and Video faculty in the School of Computing, Science and Engineering at the University of Salford are on a quest to find the worst sound in the world!

You can help with the project entitled ??Bad Vibes: The Search for the Worst sound in the World! The faculty have set up a website to assist the research into the world??s worst sound. Please visit http://sound101.org/ to take part in the project.
