Antique scientific instruments
Arthur Middleton Antiques

This used to be the only specialist science shop in London but also the source of props for stage and film such as the globe, armillary spheres and astrolabes in Professor Dumbledore's study in the film Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

The Arthur Middleton shop in Covent Garden has closed. However the company is still in business in North London offering a wide selection of instruments from the history of laboratory science, navigation, astronomy and many kinds of technical measurement.

The shop may be closed but you can still visit the fascinating Arthur Middleton web site. Explore the sections detailing all the scientific objects available for hire.
