Adventuring in time and space
Royal Observatory

The Royal Observatory at Greenwich was founded by Charles II in 1675 in a building designed by Christopher Wren - one of the founder members of the Royal Society.

The Observatory has now embarked on a new project not only to celebrate past achievements in astronomy and the measurement of time, but also to capture the excitement of contemporary astrophysics.
